Join the Friends of the Ipswich Transport Museum
The Friends of the Ipswich Transport Museum is the name of the supporters group associated
with the Museum, and membership is open to all individuals and families who are interested
in the Museum and its activities.
Members receive news of developments by means of a regular bi-monthly newsletter called
'Priory Press', which contains details of restoration work, general news items, photographs,
and also articles relating to the history of local transport.
In addition, regular monthly meetings are held in the Winter Period, between September and
April, in the form of slide or film shows and talks on a variety of subjects. Also, trips
to places of interest are run during the Summer months.
Friends of the Museum are encouraged to take an active part in the running of the Museum,
together with assisting with our vehicle restoration work. No particular skills are required
by our volunteers, as a wide range of tasks are available for willing hands.
If, however, you prefer to be just an 'armchair' supporter, you are equally welcome to join us.
For more information and an application form click here
or
to join our organisation, please contact the Museum for an application form and send it with your payment
to our Membership Secretary.
